Humans 2, Scorpions 0

When I got up this morning, I went into the bathroom. Something caught my eye. Something that was crawling along the edge of the wall in the hallway. I didn't have my glasses on, and I couldn't see exactly what it was. So I got as close as I could to try and make out what kind of bug it was. It was another scorpion! I instinctivly grabbed Sammi's shoe (near-by) and tenderized that scorpion (all of my shoes are kept in the closet, which it appeared he was trying to get into- unlike my wife's shoes, which are strewn about the apartment) until he was just another stain in the carpet.

Hear me now, all you scorpions: Lo, the blood of your bretheren lay upon my carpet. I am the instrument of the all-mighty God, and, if it pleases Him, will vanquish your kind. I am as pissed-off as that indian guy, Mogwa, in "Last of the Mohicans." I will not stop until I rip out your heart, and destroy your children so that you will know that your blood-line ends at my doorstep- or whatever room I annihilate you in, be it the bathroom, the kitchen, the study, the bedroom. Better yet, stay out of the bedroom altogether.

And I'll do it all with my wife's shoes.

MY WIFE IS BADASS!

Some dead-beat, low-rent scorpion decided to move into our place tonight. Sammi beat him down like he owed her money. I, however, was unable to dispatch him to our Lord because his strong, unwaivering stinger stood between me and my shoes. Sammi bravely stepped up to the plate and squashed him, hardcore. She even cleaned him up. Of course, I too would have stomped him six ways from Sunday, if I'd only had my shoes.

So long, insect bum.

What a weekend!

This weekend was my sister's wedding, it was beautiful! Everyone had a great time and she looked awesome! Chad and Drake have been a part of our family for a long time, but now they're "official"!

William was the unofficial kid wrangler a.k.a babysitter. He is amazing with kids, he had them all on the edge of their seats, wide-eyed and slack-jawed by his storytelling. He was also a real trooper when they dog piled him by jumping from one bed to the other in the hotel room. William was also a good sport when we had Drake overnight in our room, and even took him down for breakfast the next morning.

Seeing how good William is with the kids really warms my heart. I get all sappy thinking about what he will be like with our children. I am truly blessed by this man!

P.S.- I am probably in trouble for making Wm look like such a softie, so I will point out that in his previous post- William made a swear!

It's that time of year again. Cold weather is finally arriving. In fact, I drove to work with my windows down and had to turn on the heater.
