Turtle, let's just say that I screwed up in the middle of a song. We had a tempo change (actually, it was a rough segway into a much faster song, then back again) that I jumped on 8 measures early. It was like my own little drum solo! It was entirely my fault, and I won't say anything about telling a certain band leader during rehearsals that I thought it was a bad idea- except that I just did.
Talk about self-fulfilling prophecy!
Sammi was kind enough to point out the similarity to the "wrong hand" incident at our wedding.
